L. Matthew Hare, CCIM - President & Chief Investment Officer
Matt Hare serves as President and Chief Investment Officer at Pivot Developer Company a vertically integrated real estate development and investment firm. Matt leads the strategic plans and growth for the Company as well as oversees and leads the Pivot team on all development activities including site selection, contract negotiations, architecture, equity, debt, zoning, entitlements, construction activity and completion, property management and asset management. Prior to Pivot, Matt over the past decade has worked with three national Multifamily development firms most notably Edward Rose & Sons where he led the company’s development, acquisitions and construction teams.
Matt started in the real estate industry in Chicago as an investment broker with Marcus & Millichap, this opportunity gave Matt the perspective of what can be accomplished through hard work, ethical business practices and collaboration with real estate executives across the United States.
Matt graduated from Butler University with a degree in Finance, holds the Certified Commercial Investment Manager designation (CCIM), is an active member with CCIM Nationally as well as the local chapter, of The National Multi Housing Council, National Apartment Association, Junior Achievement, Butler’s Lacy Business School and the Indiana Mustangs organization. Matt resides in Carmel, Indiana with his wife and three children, attending all his kids sports and activities, traveling, the outdoors and golf.
Lowell A. Hare - Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Lowell is the Chairman & CEO of Pivot Development Company. He will be primarily responsible for providing financing for the company, underwriting development projects, negotiating joint venture and loan agreements and long term strategy. Lowell is also the President and CEO of Journal Center Corporation, the developer of The Journal Center, the premier office and industrial park in Albuquerque, New Mexico (1983-present). He is also Managing Partner of H&L Investment Company of Greenwood Village, Colorado, which is involved, through various entities, in oil and gas, commercial real estate, hedge funds, medical devices and imaging, private placements, publicly-traded securities, venture capital funds and other investments (1980-present).
Lowell graduated cum laude from the University of Denver in 1972, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting and membership in Beta Gamma Sigma. He also was a graduate teaching assistant and attended the graduate business school at the University of Denver (1972-1973). In 1992, he was named Alumnus of the Year by the School of Accountancy. In 2014, he received the Outstanding Alumni of the Year Award for Excellent from the Daniels College of Business.
Mr. Hare a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and Financial Executives International. (1973–2017)
His board activities have included being a member of the Archdiocese of Denver Finance Council (Chairman), the Board of Director of First State Bancorporation (Lead Independent Director), the Board of Directors of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver (Chairman), the, St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation Board of Directors (Treasurer), the University of Denver School of Accountancy Board of Advisors (Chairman), the Grant Thornton Business Owners Council and the University of Denver Daniels College of Business Executive Advisory Board.
Lowell and his wife, Diana, have two married children and five grandchildren. They reside in Castle Pines Village, Colorado and are active in church, community activities, golfing and attending sports events. They are members of The Country Club at Castle Pines and The Canyon Club at Four Hills.
